About Us
Gather DTLA brings yarn and fiber to the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Part of the Historic Core, we're located on the Mezzanine floor of The Last Bookstore, a 10,000 square foot historic space, originally a bank...now pure feat of the imagination, housing thousands of new and used books, records, artist studios and a vibrant community of creatives who think outside the box while staying rooted in their shared love of literature.
Gather is focused on sourcing supplies for knitting, crochet, and spinning that are local, made in the US, fair-trade, and eco-friendly. You’ll find an urban oasis filled with hand-dyed, organic and unique materials. We aren't offering structured classes currently, but we can schedule time to help with you projects and questions, just call and ask at (213) 908-2656. See you soon!
Where to Park
Metered Lot Parking alongside Spring Street between 4th and 6th. The closest parking lot is a Joe's Auto Park at 449 S Spring St. There are also lots at 333 S. Spring St, 501 S Spring St, 530 S Spring St. Prices vary.
Or take the METRO! The Pershing Square stop on the Red or Purple trains is just about a block away.
To find us
Although our official address is 453 S. Spring St., we are located inside The Last Bookstore - enter on 5th St. through the MAIN entrance to The Last Bookstore. Come upstairs to the mezzanine level, and we're right at the top of the stairs (and just off the elevator). Explore the bookstore first on your way to the nook! Look up as you enter this historic bank turned literary emporium and you'll see our vintage sign all lit up and happy to announce that yes! there is YARN! upstairs.
