About the Crawl

Yarn Crawl is a once-a-year opportunity to spend quality time with fellow yarn-lovers, meet-up with friends, and discover the local yarn shops you’ve always wanted to visit.

Spend four days on an adventure through the most creative and inspiring yarn shops in LA. The LA Yarn Crawl is from March 26th to March 29th!

The dedicated entrepreneurs behind 18 of LA's best local yarn stores are hard at work planning an event to remember. We invite all fiber enthusiasts — knitters, crocheters, spinners, weavers, and felters — to explore the many shops in Los Angeles County. Gather your best yarn friends, dust off your in-car games and favorite tunes, and make your plans to traverse LA's freeways on a mission to visit every shop on the passport.

At each shop you can pick up a pin, opt to purchase a commemorative tote, check out free patterns, enter to win prizes, join in on a trunk show, and enjoy special discounts on gorgeous yarns, patterns, and supplies.

Don't forget to have your passport stamped to win great prizes from your favorite yarn companies. Check store pages for individual shop hours.

Shop Prizes

Each store has a gift basket valued at $300 or more and each will be doing a drawing for their basket after the crawl.  The way to get entered in to win that shop's prize basket drawing is to leave your completed passport at that shop.  It's that easy!  Each Prize Basket will be unique to that shop.

Crawl Prizes

In addition to the prize basket, the Crawl is also giving away some prizes to those crawlers who visit all or most of our participating shops!

  • 1 winner will be drawn to win a $300 Gift Certificate from those passports who have visited all 18 shops
  • 2 winners will be drawn to win a $200 Gift Certificate from those passports who have visited 11-17 shops
  • 3 winners will be drawn to win a $100 Gift Certificate from those passports who have visited 10 shops

The gift certificates are good at any of the 18 participating shops.  Winners will need to claim their prizes before next year's crawl
